Data Acquisition is non-functional. A grey icon followed by "Disabled" heading is shown in the status bar and the Analysis - Data Acquisition command is grayed out.

Possible causes are:
a) Detector is not allocated to the Instrument:

  • Open the System Configuration dialog from the main Clarity window and check the tab of the corresponding instrument Instrument X (1).
  • In the left-side Setup Control Modules list select the correct detector (2) and assign it (3) to the corresponding instrument Instrument X (4) on the right.
  • If your detector is not in the left-side Setup Control Modules list, add it using the Add button (5) and repeat the previous step.
  • Click on the OK button and return to the instrument window. The data acquisition window is now functional.

b) You have purchased a license for data collection for a smaller number of instruments:

  • Open the System Configuration dialog from the main Clarity window using the System - Configuration command and check the tab of the corresponding instrument - Instrument X. If there is a symbol of the blue plug (6), it means that the instrument can not be used for data acquisition but only for method preparation and chromatogram evaluation.
  • Check your serial number S/N, using the Help - About command from the main Clarity window.
  • In case you want to measure on this instrument as well, contact DataApex or your local distributor.

System Configuration
