Can I use any USB-RS232 adapter with Clarity?

Our recommended solution is MultiCOM, especially if you need to connect several devices.
MultiCOM is a 6× RS232-to-USB converter designed for use with Clarity and is the best choice when your computer does not have enough serial ports.

Third-party USB-RS232 adapters may also work, but compatibility can vary depending on the chipset and driver quality. Some adapters based on Prolific chipsets have caused communication problems in practice.
