What if my device is not listed in List of currently controlled instruments (D004), or is listed only with a Colibrick interface? Can I use Clarity (Lite)?
In many cases, yes — but only for data acquisition. Direct instrument control from Clarity is not available.
- If the device is listed in D004 with a Colibrick interface, it indicates that analog data acquisition using the Colibrick A/D converter is supported, while the instrument itself is operated locally.
- If the device is not listed in D004 at all, it may still be usable with Clarity for data acquisition, but the presence of a standard analog output must be verified in the device documentation.
When using Clarity (Lite) with the Colibrick A/D converter, Clarity acquires and processes the analog signal, while all instrument settings and control are performed directly on the device (for example via its own keyboard or control panel).
Basic autosampler synchronization is also supported as part of this setup.
