Hewlett-Packard computers with Windows 7 - Clarity cannot be terminated correctly.

After turning off the application, Clarity.exe is still visible in the Task Manager and after a next launch of Clarity there is error message issued: "Clarity is already running!" This problem is caused by HP ProtectTools suite, installed on most new Hewlett-Packard computers. The particular file responsible for this behavior is DPAgent.exe, purposed for controlling the fingerprint scanner.
The easiest solution of the problem is to rename this file, thus it will be not automatically launched after startup of the computer. Standard location of the file is C:\Program Files (x86)\Hewlett-Packard\HP Protect\Tools\Security Manager\Bin\DPAgent.exe, however it may differ slightly on different versions of the suite. For fixing the problem, the file has to be renamed (we recommend to rename it to DPAgent.bak.exe, thus it can be easily renamed back when necessary).
In case you need to use the fingerprint scanner, it is also possible to terminate this file only when you intend to launch Clarity datastation. It can be made manually (using Task Manager) or facilitated by some utility able to kill a process running on the computer.

This file collides with other programs too: http://www.file.net/process/dpagent.exe.html
