Extracting chromatogram signal from PDA data

To add a signal at specific wavelength and then calibrate it, use the following work-flow.

  1. In the PDA window - use the horizontal line marker in the Isoplot View (alternatively vertical line marker in the Spectral View) and move it to you desired wavelength.
  2. Once satisfied with the current wavelength of the chromatogram, add the signal using the menu Chromatogram - Add Signal... command.
  3. Dialog for adding the signal will open. It is advantageous to use the signal's wavelength as the Add parameter. Fill in the details and click OK.
  4. In the Chromatogram window you will see there is a new signal called by the name of the signal it was created from, plus the name you have specified. (e.g. PAH - 232)
  5. Now you can calibrate chromatograms based on number of different wavelengths.
